Job Title: Substitute Teacher – Van Meter, Iowa (2025–26 School Year)

Compensation: $165/day

Requirements:  Meets licensure requirements of the Department of Education

Job Highlights:

• Work as-needed in PK–12 classrooms across the district

• Accept assignments as available through Frontline, AEA, or district platform

• Support consistent instruction, maintain lesson plans, and positively manage classroom behavior

• Follows/plans a program of study that, as much as possible meets the needs, interests and abilities of students
• Creates a climate that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of stated goals and objectives
• Demonstrates ability to enhance academic performance and support for implementation of the school district student achievement goals
• Demonstrates competence in content knowledge appropriate to the substitute teaching position
• Uses a variety of methods to monitor student learning
• Demonstrates competence in classroom management
