Pay:    $200/day

Assignment:  Long Term Substitute High School Science Teacher, mid August 2026 through early November 2026 

Reports to:  Building Principal

Requirements:  Meets substitute teacher licensure requirements of the Iowa Department of Education

Performance Responsibilities:

• Follows/plans a program of study that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of students
• Creates a climate that is conducive to learning 
• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of stated goals and objectives
• Demonstrates ability to enhance academic performance and support for implementation of the school district student achievement goals
• Demonstrates competence in content knowledge appropriate to the substitute teaching position
• Uses a variety of methods to monitor student learning
• Collaborates with teachers regarding the teaching and learning process
• Demonstrates competence in classroom management
